2 Ironwood men face felony drug charges after raid

Two Michigan men have been charged with felony drug crimes following a major police raid that resulted in six arrests on Dec. 2. The raid took place around 8 a.m. at a residence on the 200 block of Oak Street in Ironwood.

Authorities executed search warrants at the address after a lengthy investigation into alleged drug activities at the home. A representative for the Ironwood Department of Public Safety said they were looking for methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana. The Gogebic Sheriff's Department, the Iron County Sheriff's Office and the Hurley Wisconsin Police Department also participated in the bust.

A 47-year-old Ironwood man was charged with two felony counts of manufacturing and delivering heroin, two counts of possession and delivery within 1000 feet of a park and one count of running a drug house. He is being held at Gogebic County Jail on $300,000 bail. He could be sentenced to 24 years in prison and a $50,000 fine.
